2008 is a big year for Kodiak Junction!

Everybody is getting ready for the upcoming construction.  The Waite Farm is set to gain some property that the railroad will sell off.  David and his wife Brenda are looking to restore the pond that was behind the old farm house years ago and the Parker's are looking to update their home!

The Waite house is always busy with folks dropping in.  Why not, they are the friendliest neighbors you could ask for.  David is busy with his John Deere getting it ready for the Shelby County tractor pulls!

CSX SD 80 on the mainline.  These newer engines are built for speed and durability.  Kodiak Junction though is the place where time forgot.  It isn't uncommon to see a diesel and a steamer running the same routes.

In the middle of the night traffic picks up,  The SD40 and SD 80 are heading up the grade just outside of town.

Taken just as both of these trains past.  What a display of horse power.

The Parker's side of the street.  Things haven't been quite the same since that "Major Award" accidentally fell off the table.  The next house down belongs to Acks's.  Mr. Acks is proud of that car parked in his driveway and polishes it almost weekly.

A cascade of raw power.  The Lionmaster Big Boy, the Railking C&O, and the Lackawanna Trainmaster are all caught in a rare portrait. Mr. J can wait for just the right shot.  No wonder so many folks trust him with their memories.
